So, how can you answer this question unless you've lived in a lot of different neighborhoods? My neighborhood is certainly all those things...Cinco Ranch.

That's why we expect comments from experienced Houstonians who have lived in various neighbourhoods...

There are nice, friendly people all over Houston. This is Texas, after all. If I had to rank, I'd say that people who live in suburbs are among the most polite and well-mannered. But I don't know that there's so much difference that it matters.

Walnut bend,Briargrove Park, Garden Oaks,Kingwood,Green Tee Terrace......the list could go on and on. But these are places I have lived in Houston and the people were very nice and never noisy. Never had a dispute with a neighbor ever.

Bissonnet and Beltway 8 area and along Beechnut between 59 have some of the nicest people in town. In fact, everytime I drive through there, some nice ladies always ask me if I need a date. Seriously, though it's like Houstoner said. It's Houston, which has very nice people in general.

Briargrove, Tanglewood, Memorial, Katy and areas around Rice. This includes the children/teens too.

There're definately some areas in the Houston metro where some of the people, and many of the children, are living in non-reality. That often leads to bad behavior IMHO. Seeing some of the gritty, and down and out, on a daily basis reminds you where you are going and why you should stay on the path.

I never understood the "living in non-reality". Isn't reality where you are at?
