EW.
Read your style section. Obama is the new Che; his face = urban chic.

I was behind some one in line today at McClains who wore a shirt with his mug on it. The text said:

Obama
The new Messiah

I have heard him called that in the media but that is the first time I saw a shirt with it. I guess those who always said Jesus is coming some day might be getting closer to reality.

I find that pretty offensive and Im not even religious. I wonder how religious people feel about it.

If you were offended, you should have said something to him/her. Just a thought.

They'd prob call you a racist or something similar.

Not worth the confrontation.

Yes, and Obama should be offended as all get-out over that comparison. Che Guevara was a murderer. Most people selectively forget--or worse, don't know--that little tidbit.

In fashion it is "hip" to wear current event t-shirts. You see it with the war, going green, Obama, etc...If people feel the need to express their views on a t-shirt...well it is a free country so more power to them. I personally do not wear my views on my clothes.

I'm a black woman that voted for Obama and IMHO, I feel a lot of ppl put him on a pedestal...especially by calling him "The Messiah"...yes that does offend me. I feel that he will do a great job and will bring about a lot of change but ppl also need to remember that he is still human and will make mistakes.

Yeah, but only his white half will be the mistake maker.

Sorry, I'm feeling really snarky today. Trying to avoid Main Stream Propaganda Media is proving very difficult the last 48 hours.

Yeah I agree, having to throw you opinions and beliefs in people's face via T-shirt is 1) annoying 2) tacky 3) No one cares
