I currently live in golf-course community, though it's not gated. I don't live on the golf-course because I didn't want the broken windows!! Neither my husband or I golf, so it doesn't really matter to us. There are rules that unless you are playing golf, you are not to be on the course or its pathways...though at dusk I do see people strolling along them.

The one thing that I HATE (and I don't know if it's only my neighborhood or not), and I mean HATE, are the kids on the golf carts. I see young kids...probably as little as 10 years old, driving around the community ON THE STREETS in golf carts. Usually it's LOADED with other kids...at least 5-7 other kids. They drive all over, cut in front of you, and I have almost accidentally hit a golf cart because they cut right in front of me to turn left!!

Now if I golfed, then I would probably like this community a little more. We never use the country club, though it's nice enough. But I want to move, and the kids on the golf carts is in my top 3 reasons to move. IMO, there are enough golf courses in this area (we live in Humble/Kingwood area) that even if I golfed, I don't need to lived in a golf-course community to get a really good course.
