Houston Crime Maps | ZIP Code | 77064
Houston Crime Maps | ZIP Code | 77086

Are these areas in the city limits of Houston and thus is this all the reported crime? I know once before when I was checking out a zipcode someone told me it was not in the citylimits and therefore could not be trusted to be accurate. Is this trustworthy for these 2 zips? I realize the crime will be high around the mall but what I am looking at is the little subdivision directly to the right of the race track - read a post on here from someone who mentioned it as being a diverse, liberal, safe neighborhood.

The largest portion of both those areas is located in the county, not in the city. Having said that, I am not familiar with the database you are using. Perhaps it has statistics from both the city and the county, but I doubt it.

I don't think this crime map is up-to-date or if it is - it isn't showing all the events. I checked my own zip and I know more things have happened than show up.

that area is the one i know specifically that doesnt reflect all the break ins i've heard from my co worker. he told me about a modus operandi where they stole everything in a house one afternoon, with a 'storage company' moving truck as soon as the new owners unloaded them from their own moving truck. so stealing them was too easy since they have not unpacked.
i think thats near the houston border so a little beyond that isnt covered by the HPD. BTW my vietnamese friend hates that area being near the mall and the track. sort of good news is his house was appraised lower last year
