The whole street is closed. Are they gone? Do they move to somewhere?

Uhm....only 1 building is left, Golden. Well Pappadeaux or what's left of it is there too. Basically, there is NO fish market at the present.

No...they have not opened in another location. From what I hear, it will be quite awhile before any of them are up and fully running. Golden is working fast and furious....but it will still be awhile.

Have you heard if the others are planning to rebuild? I think it would be very sad if they couldn't or wouldn't. Let us know when Golden's is going to reopen, I will be one of the first in line.

Like the OP said...street is still closed down. There is so much clean-up to do....and I know Ins. has been a big factor! Some of the mom & pop places can't re-open until they get their Ins. money in. And of course, there are hold-ups I know, those that have their own shrimp boats continue to sell to the restaurants...but have lost the availability to see to the public. It has put a huge crunch on their wallets.
