Just knocked the tire off the rim of my Mini Cooper S on the GINORMOUS pothole there...
Beware.
I've called and am waiting the claim papers to submit to the county for it.
It's been there for almost a week.

On the freeway itself, or on Spring Cypress?

Yeah they have laws in place to protect the county or city with these types of problems.

It was on Spring Cypress... as you turned off the N Bound feeder... West onto Spring Cypress... directly beside the IHOP

From the people I talked to... they told me that Precinct 4's risk mgmt would be responsible.. and that I only needed to fill out the paperwork.

It took about 2 hours of being bounced around back and forth... then precinct 4 finally sent out a constable to see if it was a Dept of Highways liability or a Precinct 4 liability.. and it ended up being a precinct 4...

So yea. Waiting on the paperwork.
I'm sure they'll adore seeing what BMW charges to change the wheels on a mini.

Nothing special

mini cooper stock wheel, eBay Motors, Wheels items on eBay.com

If they're smart, they will buy you a wheel that is just as used as the rest of your good ones with a new tire to match, and send you on your merry way.
