Any thoughts on this area..chimney rock/westwood? It has been awhile since I have been there and I don't remember much

Westwood? Westwood is on the other side of the freeway and no where near Tanglewood.

Do you mean Chimney Rock @ Westheimer? That would fall closer to the Tanglewood area.

Ah... Anyway, Tanglewood is an upper income area with lots of established homes, although new construction is becoming more prevalent. Some sections of Tanglewood, between Woodway and Memorial, in particular, have homes costing the seven figure range. South of Woodway, homes tend to go for less and are smaller (though, still big compared to your average neigborhood).

I will say that a few years ago (maybe 2003 or 2004), I read in a real estate guide that home prices in the area were flat to declining (nothing major but like in the 1% range). I don't know if that's still the case today of course.

Tanglewood: Homes start at 750,000 and go up.

Entry level into the BLVD section is at about 1.5 million now for an old ranch.

George & Babs live in Tanglewood. It is one of the more exclusive nabes in town.
