I am looking to build a new home in the Fall Creek community. I am looking at a price range between $250,000 and $350,000. What builders are recommended? I have looked at David Weekley, Wilshire, and Plantation. Thanks.

Default Follow-up Question

I have decided on Fall Creek. Does anyone have additional information regarding which areas within Fall Creek are the best, the commute time to downtown, and the resell values? Thanks.

I think Highland, Trendmaker and Coventry are building out there... $250-$400 range. Nice homes with a "french cottage" look ...stone, shutters and courtyards.

As far as commute to downtown...they tout 20 minutes... so figure on 30...Sunny

Can you explain how you know all those builders are good builders?
ms, I would suugest you to go through Homeowners for Better Building and Homeowners against Deficient Dwellings and see some of the comments.
Also know what the laws in this state are concerning new construction and ask if your contract will have mandatory binding arbitration in it. As a matter of fact Weekly was one of the forerunners of putting MBA in new home construction contracts, Read report from Public citizen on MBA.
No one should just jump into building w/o doing lots of homework and research
in my opinion.

I'll have to agree... buyers should do homework before purchasing a home & not just expect it to be "fine" as it is a "new" home. It's shocking new homes inspections aren't being done by independents ... and buyers are relying on a final walk-thru with a punch out card!

With a name like scammed1....figured something must have happened to you first hand...what's your story? Sunny

My favorites builders in Fall Creek are Trendmaker and Partners in Building. Unfortunately these two builders homes start closer to $400K. They both have model homes and sales offices here in Fall Creek so you can go visit them and discuss. As far as which area to build in FC, I would just drive through the different villages and see which one you are drawn to. I not a big fan of the less treed sections (like Heather Glen). I like trees. But everyone has their own pref.
