Hello all -

Can anyone recommend a good honest Honda repair shop? I live near Bellaire and work downtown so someplace in between would be great.

Thanks for your help

Not exclusively Honda, but an excellent shop. Auto Repair Houston, Brake Repair, Oil Change, Tune Ups - Midtown Auto Service and Repair Mikey, the owner, is super-friendly. They do good work and have received rave reviews. http://houston.citysearch.com/review/9839571

Nowhere near close, but Happy Honda did some good work for my Mom's CR-V. I believe he was on hwy 6, close to 529, very reasonable prices, from what I remember.

For 15 years I've used the Firestone on Bellaire between Rice and Chimney Rock. They do general work on almost anything. Some stuff has to go to the dealer of course. Gotten to know the guys in the shop by first name. They've done excellent work on a half dozen cars I've owned during that time. We've had many long conversations on what repairs to make, what repairs to pass on, and what constitutes a sensible preventive maintenance schedule. My only regret is that they can't do the warranty work the few times I've bought a new car.

IF you hold onto a car for any length of time, one particular service item gives outstanding value: their lifetime alignment service. I have them do a (free) alignment check every other oil change. Greatly extends the life of my tires. Houston streets and roads are so hard on alignments.

My wife used to have a civic and used to take it to the Honda Dealership near main and 610.

We were always happy with their service. And didn't find them to be all that expensive even though it was a dealership.
