My family is moving from a very, very small community in a small state. We are thinking about purchasing a home in Long Meadow Farms. Does anyone have an opinion about this neighborhood; lots of kids???; churchs; the school district; home builders????

We have lived in our current state our entire life and this is going to be a majority transition. Any information would be helpful !!!!

Thanks!!!!

I don't know anything about Long Meadow Farms but I do have something to tell you about Houston. I, too, am from a small town (26,000 in Mississippi) but I find living in Houston very comparable but with great benefits. Here you will tend to stay in your area so you will constantly run into people you get to know and the people are mostly very friendly like in a small town yet you have access to great restaurants, shopping, sporting events, etc. You pay a little price in traffic but overall I think you'll love it. The pros outweigh the cons.

Hi my husband and I bought in Long Meadow Farms last fall. Its a very nice community with lots of kids. Median age in our area seems to be around 30 to 35 with families. The biggest draw back is that it is so new that grocery stores & such are still a ways away from the community (However a new Super Walmart is going in not too far down the road). I would strongly advise that you look at homes that are already built where you would be a second owner rather than buying from a builder. Like everywhere else the home values here have taken a hit and the new, just built homes are still priced a little high for the neighborhood.

All in all, I think you would really like it if you are looking for a safe, family friendly community. Let me know if you have any other questions, I can answer.
