It appears ROBS has gone woke and supposedly is teaching CRT in its classroom. As a result, 80 families have dropped and are trying to attend peer schools that are more conservative.

We are also hearing Kinkaid is going woke. Perhaps this isn’t surprising considering the fact that their graduates are achieving mostly average outcomes. Many of their grads end up at normal state schools and even Austin CC.

What is going on here? Is anyone else hearing this?

Who cares? This is really a giant nothing burger.

Most private school kids are average. They just have parents with money.

Did you make all of this up or do you have a legitimate source?

This is legitimate. There has been an exodus from ROBS due to woke curriculum and there are concerns elsewhere among some top Houston privates.

What does "woke" mean here? I'm confused about what people mean when they say that lately.

You have to be a lot more specific than that. You need to cite how many people have left or what exactly they are teaching that you think is "woke".

You must not be aware of what’s going on then, no worries. Like I said, the word is it’s about 80 families that shifted out or trying to shift out from ROB. It’s not clear what is really being taught, some rumors are that CRT was being taught and some of woke concepts regarding genders etc.

My kids are not enrolled there, hence I’m asking. We are seeing an influx at other schools that are not teaching these concepts like SBS, SFES, Duchesne etc.

What do you mean by CRT? What is a "woke concept regarding gender"?

Is CRT really considered woke these days? Seems pretty mainstream to me.
