Nice pictures! Nice neighborhood! Kind of makes me want to move to Montrose. Suburbia is pretty boring.

Not many cities can mix it up like Houston.

We have urban style skyscraper-vista nightlife...to odd backstreets with copious bungalow bars/boutiques. How many cities have that in an accessible way?

MONTROSE

DOWNTOWN

"Suburban in nature?"

Houston is the one US city that makes me reconsider that definition.

Walking up someplace like Gessner with its taco trucks, neon bars, late night Nicaraguan cafes and such...I don't know if that is "suburban" in another context. The vibe certainly felt urban albeit in a more spread out way to me as I walked it (yep, I even stopped to grab a bite at one taco truck and get it on video...it was a cool feeling):

Every city in America has a large suburban area. NYC which is the densest city in America has a large suburban area. The NYC metro area is NJ, NY and CT. That's a pretty large area. The suburbs isn't what matters. It's the quality of the city that matters. I can tell you that Houston beats out most cities in America.
