I just saw one bird with very pink wings over Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena TX. Can't be 100% sure, but it must have been a flamingo. 10-2 13

Looking at pics of the roseate spoonbill, it could have been either. It was too far to say either way.

New sighting of the Flamingos was just mentioned on a local Facebook page. Looks like they are still around.

Were there any photos?

With a decent photo, it would be easy to tell which bird by the bill. Although flamingos also have longer necks, the bill is an immediate give away.

I can't count how many times people think they see flamingos when they're really roseate spoonbills. When I worked in Freeport TX I would see spoonbills almost every day, never seen no flamingos though.

I work here on pelican island on the Texas A & M campus since July 2015 up to now April 2016 and this morning two flew over than three again after lunch around 2:45pm. Been seeing them all that time working here so I know the Pink Flamingos are here in Galveston area.

I just saw a flock of about 6-8 flamingo's fly over the bridge in corpus Christi on the way back from Portland. They are breeding on a small island that you can see on the right hand side of the bridge coming back to corpus from Portland
