hello i´m new here on this board!
i´m from Germany but Houston is my favorite city in the US!
never been there but it looks so awesome , and i like the rap scene

so my question is , could Houston hit 5,8 Million people by July 2008???
the July 2007 census estimated 5,660 for the metro area
and will Houston hit 6,0 Million in the beginning of 2010 or July 2010???

and sorry for my bad english i´m still learning

Count the immigrants and the homeless and you've probably got something between 7-8 million right now.

Agreed. They seriously undercount the undocumented population here, which I would estimate it at 650,000 to 1M.

Smile 6,000,000 by 2010 Census

This should be pretty accurate. Of course this is without an accurate count of illegal aliens.

Can that same illegal immigrant/homeless population scenario be applied to all major U.S. cities? Or is it just really affected by Houston since we're so close to the Gulf Coast and Mexican border?

Also, does Dallas/Ft Worth have a large share of illegal immigrants too?
