hello everyone. new to site and must say to everyone who is posting, THANKS A LOT. you are providing an invaluable service to those of us who would not otherwise be able to gather the needed information when considering the move. If it was not for forum like this one, i would be making many trips to texas.

Ayn nurses out there? I am a nurse and i am finally taking some advice that was given to me 6 years ago. Move to houston. I need your help. Need info on pay, good hospitals, and i plan on buying a home by the end of the year or early 2009. I'm 37, single and need to be in a area that has things that i can do. But also need to be in a safe area. Maybe a gated community. HELP! I have many, many question.

Thanks in advance

I think you should probably look for a nursing job in the suburbs because, being single, you will probably have a hard time finding a quality, safe neighborhood which you can afford that is close to the inner city.

The suburbs would probably be best, you c an find safe affordable housing and it doesn't have to be gated. There are all kinds of hospitals to choose from, I don't know what pay is like, someone else willhave ti jump in on that one.
