Smile Woodcreek Elem

Hi,
We are moving to Katy this summer as well. We ended up choosing Cinco at Seven Meadows instead of the subdivision that I really wanted (Cinco Southwest) because I could find no information on Woodcreek Elementary. I searched everywhere on the Internet, made phone calls but there were no stats or anything that I could find. Let me know if you hear anything. Maybe I can still change my mind.

I wish you good luck.

Woodcreek doesn't have a rating yet because they just finished TAKS testing and this is their first year-they opened in August 2007. If it follows the trend, it will at least be rated Recognized but more likely Exemplary. There isn't one elementary school in South Katy that isn't given at least the Recognized rating. The kids in Firethorne will also go to Woodcreek Reserve Junior High when that opens this fall. Woodcreek elementary is already making waves and receiving honors. The best place to learn about the school is on Katy Independent School District under campuses. HAR won't have any information about it. Or, drive the community around 4 pm and stop and ask any parent you see. The neighbors are very friendly and will give you any information you need to know about the community and the schools.

Firethorne is a huge community. Coventry Homes is nice if you are looking in the same price range as Partners in Building. Partners has some good incentives right now...I think they are offering a free pool with some homes. Coventry is a Plantation homes company and they have an energy rating steps above the Energy Star rating. Firethorne is 1400 acres right now but will probably be 3500 when all is said and done. It's a wonderful community with many amenities. I don't live there, but have helped several clients purchase homes there.

Good luck in your search!

Laurie

We had a contract with Partners in Building to build our home in 7 Meadows, but decided to buy a home already built with some upgrades in Woodcreek Reserve. We are very happy living here and have wonderful neighbors and a very peaceful community with NO NOISE ! We absolutely love it !
