From reading the forums, the posters here seem to have a fairly negative attitude towards these type of homes with limited to no yards.

I'm asking for pros and cons for these type of homes. Also does it apply to the higher end type patio homes as well?

I live in a patio type home in Abilene. My wife and I love it! It would not be good if we had children or animals, but for the two of us, it is perfect.

Depends where the Patio/Garden home is. Resale is far far better close to and inside 610. In the burbs it's horrible resale.

Where I live there are some very nice patio homes on the golf course and I don't see any problem if you don't have kids or a pet and don't want the trouble of dealing with so much yard.

This all depends on the lifestyle you have. Some people enjoy the low maintenance patio homes has to offer and others dislike the small yards.

They have awesome patio homes in Creekside. Highland homes has these with casitas and outdoor fireplaces. I would buy one in a minute.
