I was curious about them when the thread was first posted. There is an alarming lack of information/disclosure on their website and the general internet at large. While cheaper, it wasn't abnormally so for my home, so I passed. The absolute dollar differences on my cheaper other properties weren't worth risking the lack of pedigree either. But I'm going to keep tabs of them.

I have finally decided to give this company a try. The insurance is going to be through Clear Blue Insurance. Its more than $500 cheaper than competition.

I will keep track of any new reviews that come online for either swyfft or Clear Blue and will update the post if I change my mind.

It's time for me to renew as well. My current insurance provider increased the rate as they always do, so of course I am switching. I contacted few independent agencies and they all gave me the best offers with Swyfft. This is something I cannot resist. If several agencies work with them and they are approved by mortgage companies, this is probably not a scam, right? If this is not a scam, then why not? We waste a lot of money on insurance. Let's waste less. I am also going to give it a try.

I have searching and haven't seen good or bad comments about Swyfft. I'm thinking they are too new and people haven't actually file a claim with them.

I've been using another unknown insurance carrier for a couple of years. No issues with them, but I had no claims. Originally their rates were better than anything else. However now they reached the point when it is time to move. I guess it will be the same story with Swyfft, but a couple of years later something else should come up. Just never stop looking for better offers.

Be careful with those cheap companies, remember "you get what you pay for". I just sued my ins company over something they should have just taken care of....open and closed case. I will only stick with the companies that are reputable for now on.

I agree, you never know until you file a claim.

Default Swyfft Reply

You asked about Swyfft Insurance and I can tell you that the have 3 companies involved with their claims process which gets really confusing and they give you the name of a contractor that they say does great work and so you trust them. The contractors do crappy work, never showed up, messed up moms kitchen, broke her sink, her dishwasher and walked out on her. They had no insurance or license to do this job but the company said they do good work and they used them before. Mom has a kitchen that is still not put together. Company now says they paid the claim and are not going to help mom get her kitchen put back together again. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE, BUYER BEWARE............................................ . STAY AWAY.
