Unfortunate. Sounds like rightsizing on the part of CHI after overextending themselves with growth.

My guess is that we shouldn't be surprised if CHI starts selling off some or all of their assets in Houston. I'm guessing Houston because they will be the easiest to sell, there are eager buyers here.

unfortunate about the jobs but lay offs are part of the business cycle, I'd be more concerned if they continued to bloat.

There is a never ending shortage of healthcare workers. They will find work in the massive Houston hospital system in no time.

How is St. Luke's as a hospital system? It seems like they play third fiddle to memorial Hermann and Methodist. I don't hear much about them so I'm curious.

Layoffs occurring at all levels of care, including some floor, direct care personnel.

Environment has definitely changed since CHI took over a few years ago.
