Bread and circuses. Pro sports are nothing more than grown men playing childrens' games.
Agree that tracking down pedophiles is more important, but that doesn't diminish the importance of this. The man stole something probably worth 6 figures and needs to be in prison. Glad they've caught him.

It was really reprehensible that it got stolen, here's the article on how they found him. Caught him on camera.

I have a different outlook I guess. It's a shirt. At most local police should have been involved. That the rangers and FBI were involved in an international law enforcement operation for a shirt seems beyond silly to me.

Also, you mention the jersey being worth six figures, which is an interesting point. You are correct it's worth that much if it is authentic and sold via legitimate channels. Once it was stolen, it's value plummeted because 1) it was stolen merchandise and couldn't have been sold openly; 2) it would be nearly impossible to authenticate.

I suppose I just don't see Tom Brady winning another super bowl being a legitimate major event.

It takes Texas to get it done right.

Apparently this person had Brady's jersey from Super Bowl 49, and Von Miller's Denver Bronco helmet from SB 50... but it took Texas to follow through and actually solve the problem.

Good job to all involved.

You would think this guy would have been fired or blacklisted by now.

Don't think he was a real reporter. People saw him on radio row with paraphernalia and seeking autographs, and not doing interviews.

What?
How did Texas solve this problem?

Tom Brady's stolen Super Bowl jerseys recovered in Mexico - CNN.com

The jersey worn last month by the New England Patriots' quarterback during Super Bowl LI in Houston was recovered at the home of a former newspaper editor, Mexico's National Security Commission told CNN on Monday.
Mexico's federal police and the FBI conducted a raid at the home of La Prensa director Mauricio Ortega on March 12, according to the commission. Ortega resigned two days later for "personal reasons," the tabloid said in a statement.
