Ten years ago, we were paying less than $200 a month for my mom's medigap. It covered everything Medicare didn't, no deductible.

Some will be surprised if they think the 125. month for medicare is all that is required.
You are paying too much!! You could buy a Medical policy on your own and pay WAY LESS than that. Are you including an IRMAA surtax for high income?

I didn't pass that law. Its passed by the ppl you put in office. Thats why I say all the hype and news you see on media are all crap. The root cause of the issues are not being addressed by anyone. Only things that people like clapping for are being addressed to public.

Most everyone I know is paying the same amount. When you are old and have had strokes, heart problems, cancer and are diabetic it gets expensive. Probably half the maladies us old poops have are the result of taking medication for a problem and the meds give us another.

If it were not for Medicare, 3/4s of the old people I know couldn't get health insurance.

I assume you can buy private insurance for your parents here in the US. I have to buy private insurance for my child. I go to the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas website and buy private insurance there. Unless you have a qualifying event, you have to wait until open enrollment to sign-up which is usually late in the year.
Yes he can buy private insurance even though parents are over 65 but then the premium skyrockets
