Hello,

I am a recent biology major and currently looking to find an entry level job in just about ANYTHING for 45k+ and up.

Can you give me suggested career fields in which I can use my degree and etc? I do have customer service experience but I am trying to veer away from that.

Someone told me about being a medical technologist but I would need the certification and etc. But I was open to anything. I know its an oil/gas and medical city.

I plan to move soon.

Maybe take a look at the Lonza career site and see if there are any entry level positions in their Pearland facility. Also, have you at all looked at the MD Anderson career site. Might be some lab/research assistant positions open to get you in the door and gaining some experience. Are you averse to working with small animals such as mice, rats, and rabbits? If not, you may be able to get in ground level as an animal/vivarium tech.

No, I am not opposed to it. I'm fine with it. I will look into it as I am ready to get in and gain experience with something. Thank you.

Keep your eye out even in the Oil and Gas industry. Some environmental positions would be practical for your degree.

My dad worked for 36 years in O&G, having a PhD in Biological Oceanography.

MD Anderson just laid off people. There must be hiring freeze. They don't usually pay 45k for less than 5 yrs of experience,
