Both Great Oak School and Bayou Village are too far from our home. I'm tempted to send my daughter to a Montessori school (kindergarten) in Sugar Land but can't find one we like. I believe in educating the mind and soul of a child in a calming environment with compassionate and loving teachers. A comprehensive learning style is also important. I feel that Montessori and Reggio are focusing more on the mind and less on the other aspects (our relation to nature and spiritual well being) I'm really struggling!

While I'm not from Sugar Land I've studied the city a bit.

Sugar Land AFAIK doesn't have too many private schools. People tend to just use the public schools near their houses unless they want to use the Catholic or religious Christian schools. If you are not into Honor Roll School, nor Fort Bend Christian, nor the two Catholic schools I think the only way is to go public (if you want to stay within Sugar Land).

Join our struggle - this is just the beginning. Lol. I have looked at a lot of schools and we just don't have enough options. Search this forum and read old post. Maybe have your kid evaluated now before you work hard picking the "Perfect" school and then discover it isn't a fit.
