I dont care. I seldom boycott companies but I stopped subscribing to the Houston Chronicle in 1995 because of the way it acted when it bought the Houston Post.

The Houston Comical? Seriously...somebody should let them know that there's some jackleg outfit that has ruthlessly appropriated their masthead and trademark to publish a nearly content-free Sunday newspaper. And they're getting $4.00 per copy for it.

If I was at the Comical and heard about that scam, I'd be concerned.

The content has been much better lately. I even like the layout more. They are doing stories that relate to the entire area.

There was a time the only thing I wanted were the grocery ads. But the local content is pertinent, now.

The free nature of Chron.com makes that site riddled with ads, and low quality stories, so it basically becomes Buzzfeed.

HoustonChronicle, due to subscription/cost based services, is able to block out such ads/low quality, allowing for more thoughtful content. There is a paywall, but often times, if you just google search the article name, or use special links, you can bypass it.

Many people don't know about the differences (confusing Chron.com with HoustonChronicle), and, as a result, they end up criticizing what is actually a decent newspaper.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Chron.com makes he Houston Chronicle look bad since they keep confusing them. Best result, get rid of that bs lmfao
