Just wait until the companies start fracking the drilled but incomplete wells and flood the market with more crude once oil hits 55$!

Did not see this posted before. Summary, overall Houston prospect good, but bad for oil and gas jobs. The projected job growth is in industries that pay much less then what O&G had payed historically.

That must be an extremely long term short. Until the renewables market comes up with their own solutions for plastics and all the other chemicals derived from O&G, I have a feeling the industry will be OK.

Not in my circle. These individuals are relied on more than ever now.

This could vary depending on department, company etc...I suppose.

In what sense? I have been told from several people working in the sector that their responsibilities and workloads have become close to unmanageable as teams get smaller. But they are of course happy to still have a job.
