I am on the southwest Close to the loop Meyerland Willowbend area and no raid so far. On the radar rain looks to be a few miles north of I10 south of I10 you will not get any rain. Brenham area 12 niches so far wow.

I'm in Brenham. I emptied the gauge four times... 2", 8", 6", and then 7" this morning when I woke up. Two smaller trees blown over, luckily the huge Live Oaks made it.

I live about where the yellow dot is on the attached pic.

The wind was unbelievable. 40-50MPH and more in gusts. I have a front door that sits 6-8' feet back under a deep porch. It was being bombarded with rain during several of the worst parts.

My child's long-anticipated, traditional end-of-elementary field trip to Splashtown was canceled early this morning. And it looks like the storms are over.

Storms over... ? Not so much... It would have been a mess up there. Good move by the school.

^^^Yes, by the afternoon you're proved absolutely correct. I talked to my sister in The Woodlands and learned about her car's near miss with a tree that fell just next to it, and widespread power outages to the north of us, and periodic torrential rains. It's been an emotional day for my 5th grader - and for me too. In addition to my child's disappointment, my mom's house is possibly flooded in Ravensway but she is traveling, my other sister is trapped in her home by high water in the street in Hearthstone. Crazy weather day.

Nothing in Clear Lake until 5pm or so, where it rained about 2 1/2 inches in an hour. And it dropped about 15 degrees really fast. The rest of today was warm and humid, some random spitting drizzle and 30-40 mph wind. It's time to bring on the summer!!

My jet skis are floating above their lifts. Lake Houston has been rising about an inch an hour and isn't supposed to crest until tomorrow.

I'd post photos, but without reference knowledge, they don't mean much.

Right at 2 inches in my rain gauge, but it didn't start until yesterday evening. We were lucky.

I started my trip to E. Tx around 4pm yesterday. The radar showed a lot of rain, but it was far north of I10 where I would be travelling. Long story short I turned back and saved that trip for another day. After seeing some stalled cars in Clear Lake, I knew I made the right decision.
