Traffic here has gotten really bad, like 20 minutes to get onto the 610 West single entrance ramp.

It seems like the number of people coming this route has shot way up lately.

Does anyone know why or have a better secret route?

Which side and direction of TC Jester you on? Coming from the north E. TC Jester is way faster than W. TC Jester.

I am coming from the North, and have hopped over to E TC Jester and it is indeed faster most of the time.

The bottleneck is still a big problem with traffic coming from the U-turn, people heading north on TC Jester turning left, people coming south on W TC Jester turning right all trying to fit onto the one lane entrance ramp.

The lane entering the ramp from the access road is usually backed up past E TC Jester so you end up having to cut ahead of people that way as well.

I know traffic bottlenecks at many places in Houston but this area is worse than I have seen it in the few years of commuting through it, I figure there must be some exacerbating circumstances.

Traffic this week has been insane. I think lot of areas are still flooded so people are using alternative routes.

I use to drive 30 minutes to get to work. This week is 1 hour every day so far.

Because the ramp to 610 from W. 18th is closed, the nearest way for folks from there to get on is to use the TC Jester u-turn. Hence extra traffic.

There is a lot of construction at TC Jester and Dacoma and that's what is causing the back up. Often it's reduced to one lane.
