Tried of the snow, moving to Texas, but can't decide which area... Houston? Still want to live in suburbs not busy city....

Please be aware that in a place like Houston, the "suburbs" can be as busy as the "busy city." Several suburbs are known for having horrible traffic congestion on Saturdays.

Need a lot more info...budget, things you like to do, whether you need to commute to a job, do you still want access to downtown, etc.

I'm originally from Minnesota. The suburban parts of Houston most like Anoka (or any other place in suburban MSP) is on the northeast side around Kingwood and Lake Houston, although it's a stretch to call it "like" Minnesota. There's trees and water and that's about where it ends.
