I don't know what is the meaning of this but couple things really strike me since I move down here.

The first one is when I took my kid to one of the school's playground, the school actually left couple balls out so kids can play. What is shocking is the ball is still there the following week I went there again.

Second is almost none of the kids riding their bikes to school lock their bikes. Helmets are all hanging by the bike and not a care in the world somebody might take it.

Just as an FYI -- That's not a robbery. It's theft. A robbery is when someone is robbed by force ( i.e. By gunpoint, knifepoint or other forcible means). Theft is stolen when you aren't aware of it -- taken from an unlocked car, unlocked home, open garage or yard -- probably like your friends patio furniture. Burglary when your home or vehicle is broken into and items stolen while you are away from it.

Default Ha..

'Sorry, but I was thinking you wanted to hear of stories about thugs who hold guns sideways. As someone pointed out, that is a theft, not a robbery. When we purchased patio furniture, I brought a steel cable, a lock and and drilled holes in my brand new furniture so that it could tied down to the porch so it wouldn't "disappear". Such is life in the city (Montrose).

I hope your friend is not losing any sleep over it. Yes, it sucks, but you wont' get much help from the authorities over it, but I would suggest that he/she report it just so that the police include it in their statistics. Once enough thefts happen, they usually will focus their attention in an area, for a while anyway.

Yeah... I heard a story about robbery where they robbed on gun point . The home owner was going to sit on his car on the drive way around 5 in the morning and somebody took her inside her home on gun point and robbed her . It is in sugar land
