Hello,

I am moving to a home in the 77429 area in Cypress. I believe it is in an un-incorporated area, so there is no trash/garbage removal provided by the city.

My options are to use private companies, e.g. Republic, or I was thinking whether it makes sense to drop off the trash a couple of times a week at the city disposal sites/facilties - e.g.

Disposal Sites and Facilities

Does anyone have a recommendation on a private trash removal company that provides weekly service to 77429?

If possible, I would prefer to give business to a local company, rather than one of the huge corporations.

Also, does anyone have an idea of how much the city disposal sites charge? I know there is a fee.

Thank you so much,
mengembara

If you don't live in the City, you can't drop off your trash at a City facility. Unless you are moving to a home that's not in a subdivision, your HOA or MUD will provide trash service.

Typically it is provided through your HOA dues. What neighborhood are you in?

Hello,

Thank you for the replies. I live on Steinhagen rd, there is no HOA here. Just homes with some acreage.

Do I need to find a private trash service company, e.g. Republic?

Are there any other cheaper options?

Thank yo!

You need to live in Houston or have a friend with a water bill and TDL with CoH address to show for entry.

Who do the neighbors use?

Hello,

I appreciate the replies, thank you.

I do not know what the neighbors use, because my partner and I have not met them yet! The houses are spread out, so it is hard to see them.

We were thinking of mailing, via US post, a postcard introducing ourselves to our neighbors who live along the street, is that appropriate?

As for the trash collection, since there seem to be limited options for me to drop it off at a disposal site, I guess I will have to identify a corporate service that picks it up a few times a week.

Thank you,
Mengembara
