We currently live in Seven Meadows and have absolutely loved it! After recently having another child, we need more space. We found a lovely home at a great price, in Westheimer Lakes (NOT north!), and the reponse we've gotten has been, "huh?". We homeschool, so the schools are not an issue, and we wouldn't mind sending them to Briscoe and Foster anyway. I am just wondering if anyone has anything good to say about it. All I am reading and hearing about is the north side and how wonderful katy isd is. Thanks!

CastleRock builds a good product. The area you are looking at is good and has alot to offer. One question what is most important to you when choosing a community?

LOL, we must have the same realtor J/K. The only thing I didn't like about westheimer lakes(north or south) is the location, I would not want to live there and depend on the 1093(two lane road) and the westparking lot(What a rip off!) to get in and out. I couldn't imagine what it will be like when they start const. on the 1093 to add more lanes

Appearance of course, and families with younger kids out and about.

Default where to move in katy?

I just moved to Houston and I have been going crazy looking at the different communities. I love Cinco Ranch but would rather go with a brand new home. I love Seven Meadows but I saw a house from the same builder in Westheimer Lakes for less money and more space. Is there a difference in the communities if the school districts in Katy are all good? I don't want to make the wrong decision and then wind up hating my neighbors or not wanting my kids to play with the neighbors. Besides the price...Can someone tell me the difference in community between a Seven Meadows, Westheimer Lakes and a Firethorne??

no - Cinco won't be built out for another 3 or 4 years. Go to cincoranch.com. Most of the new homes are in Cinco SW (or Cinco 2), but there are still some homes being built in Cinco 1, both sections on the west side of 99.
