Hi,

We have just moved back from Europe to Houston with our 2 year old and we are actively looking for a good pre school to enroll her - we reside around the Rice Military/Hemorial Heights. - We have visited St Lukes on Westheirmer and St Martins Episcopal on Sage road but it appears these schools are very competitive. Any special pointers with regards to the applications? What would you suggest? What other schools would you recommend?

Going a little further west you have Westminster, St. Francis Episcopal which has a brand new campus for kids 2-5 years old, Memorial Drive & Chapelwood. Some of these have already had first round applicants but I would recommend scheduling a time to visit and tour schools. Then apply to your favorite.

Just to clarify this would be for the 2016-2017 school year.

Many church based preschools, private schools, and parochial schools give preference to their members. Some folks join the church to get a preference in admission. I am not advocating this--just pointing out that it is a reality.

We rang the Kipling school and were told the wait list is long. We will still pay a visit though. Thank you
