Hello All. Has anyone seen the recent construction for the broadstone apartments at Falcon landing? What do you all think of this new apartment complex in the Cinco area?

Falcon Landing is about to become a parking lot. Not sure how wise it is to keep building houses/apartments while keeping most roads 2 lanes each way.

If you live in growing suburbs then part of the deal is you risk being in an area where the roadway becomes congested. Actually, that statement applies in developed areas too.

Traffic congestion is not a valid reason to deny development rights. Congestion is the nature of the automobile system.

Sure I completely agree with you regarding growing suburbs. I have an issue with the lack of foresight. Silver Ranch and Hawk's Landing were built and Gaston remained a 2 lane road (one lane each way). Now there are plans to expand Gaston. I see the intersection of Bay Hill & Falcon Landing every day and feel bad for all the folks stuck on Falcon Landing trying to make a turn onto Bay Hill.

I think development is good for Katy and in the long run the South-West areas will need better restaurants/retail but planning is very key before green lighting more development.

I think housing consumers are smart enough to know that a growing area is likely to suffer traffic congestion, and that government may or may not keep up with road improvements given their current level of taxation. Even a widening to four or six lanes hardly guarantees a congestion-free trip, as we've seen countless times around the Houston suburbs.

In other words, congestion is pretty much a given, and a lack of congestion either means it's an area just barely beginning to develop, or an area suffering from low economic activity.

Congestion will be a part and parcel of life. However, I still think the infrastructure needs to be considered before continuing to build. Congestion-free trip will never happen but I have a problem with not planning ahead.

Anyways, the apartments do look upscale and located right across from King Lakes. Kroger is set to open down the road soon as well.
