Google maps doesnt do houston traffic, even if you select it. Often times the time noted represents how long it would take if yours was the only car left on the planet

Energy cooridor to sugarland land? Driving on 99, beltway, highway 6, or a real weirdo coming along to 59/69?

The beltway south in rush hour its 20 minutes from the energy cooridor to westheimer. That'll be better than 6. Dont do 610-59. Have no odes what 99 is like or if that exists all the way to sugarland. Your best options are toll roads.

When I first moved back to houston for my first career job I for some reason rented in sugarland and drove to the energy cooridor. Lived in an older apt off highway six. One bedroom back then I paid about $995. That was 8-9 yrs ago

I used to live on Eldridge in the Energy Corridor and work in SL (still do). FWIW, my advice is take Eldridge all the way down to W. Bellfort, then go west to 6. Traffic isn't as heavy as 6, and there are no school zones. Worst backups are Belknap (the name Eldridge changes to at Fort Bend County line) at W. Belfort and W. Belfort at Burney (4 way stop). Travel time during the school year is probably 30-40 minutes.
