I was on the phone with a United rep for over an hour one day while he diligently tried to rework a complicated itinerary after a flight was cancelled. At the end of the call, I asked if he was legacy Continental or United. You guessed it...Continental. A legacy United rep would have "accidentally" hung up on me 15 minutes into the call.

I avoid the legacy airlines all together (American, Delta, United). Why pay more for the same rude service and fees for everything? U.S. airlines have pretty poor customer service these days.

I try to fly non-U.S. airlines when flying overseas. They usually have good customer service and good food. Good thing I flew British Airways to London instead of United. They fed me well and loved the free drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). They were pretty nice, compared to the middle-aged flight attendants with an attitude predominant on U.S. airlines.

Yes. And?

If you read my other posts the issue was with the culture change. Those 7 folks notwithstanding, the culture shift was towards old United and away from old CO.
