Hello everyone !!

My husband and I are trying to move from Olathe-KS to Houston-TX, because he got a job in Houston.
I googled some apartments but they were either unsafe or too expensive. I was wondering if anyone know specific apartment complexes that are safe yet affordable (a max of $800). Now I figured out that Houston is not a very safe place overall, but we have no other option now but to move in here. Please provide me with some names of apartments that you feel safe in, and that no crime or robbery was reported! It does not have to be in the center of Houston, suburbs could work too as long as they are safe and affordable!

I would really really appreciate that so much.

First, where is the job located? Think of the the area between Kansas City and Topeka, completely filled in with city and traffic. That's Houston.

Generally speaking, the further out you go from the center of the city, the more affordable safe housing becomes. The one exception to this rule is the Woodlands, which goes up in price from places like Spring.

Not meaning to scare you, but there are break ins even in White House. Most likely for 800, you will get 1beds, but its not going to be safe or its going to be in some poorer areas.

Since Houston is like a mini state, first zero in on some places, then you can start searching apartments.

There are 6 states smaller - and two just a tiny bit bigger. In fact, we are larger than our smallest 3 states, combined.
