I move from Miami to Houston back in 07, and when I checked the prices, I decided to do it myself. Got a Uhaul with a trailer for my SUV, packed all my stuff and drove it in two days...

The prices were unreal... Uhaul ain't cheap, but it was a good alternative. I also looked into renting a couple of PODS, but it wasn't a good alternative for us.

Good luck with the move, moving is a pain, and long distance is even worse !

A-rocket is a schlop outfit and I wouldn't hire them to move my dog from the back yard to the house.

Besides, this thread is five years old. Get a life.
