Hello All,

I am trying to coordinate a move from out of state to Houston. I have a very short period of time to find an apartment.

Has anyone in a similar position used an apartment locator service and had success? If so, I would be interested in recommendations. The areas I would like to focus on are Montrose or the Heights.

Thanks a lot! This forum has been a great source of information.

I had a REALLY tight timeline, coming from NY state, and hate making phone calls. I used Houston Apartment Insiders, specifically a woman named Fredell. She was very helpful. I never did get the gift card they say you'll get after. I know they deal with apartments in Montrose, not sure about the Heights - I live near the Medical Center.

The other I had signed up for by accident was a bigger company, UMoveFree. They emailed me regularly trying to find out if I still needed help, so it seems like they have an organized system and are attentive. I didn't actually speak with them directly.
