Hello everyone,

First of all, despite the damage, I hope everyone is safe from the weather this month. I will be traveling into Hobby Airport Thursday morning around 8:00am. From there, I will be along the 45 and 610 mostly and Main St near NRG Park and the area around Hermann Park and Midtown. I will also be near Memorial Park only west of the 610. In addition, I will also be in Galvestion and the Seabrook/Clear Lake area. How are flood conditions around any of those areas? And how has traffic been impacted, specifically getting around the 45 and 610? Thanks for any update. Be safe!

It will be all clear by tomorrow morning and it will be history by Thursday. The drainage in Houston is some of the best in the country. It really is. Just plan your trip as you normally would and you will be fine.

It is raining a bit this morning. However, I would not call it a big storm, and it is not flooding again, as far as I can tell.

Here is a link to the Houston TranStar live traffic map. At 8:52 this morning the route the OP specified is clear:

I was stuck in the Toyota Center after the Rockets game on Tuesday. Coming back to the Clear Lake area from downtown felt scary since there were maybe 5 cars on the freeway, but there were no issues. Clear Lake does flood in a few areas but drains pretty quickly. You should be ok. Watch for flood watch advisories on your phone. I don't think the brief wave this morning was expected. And Monday's barrage wasn't expected to shut down a few freeways either.

Clear week forecasted, but that doesn't guarantee anything. I wish it snowed in Houston too, it will add to the unpredictability of the city of late .
