They have to have a permit to solicit. If you live outside of hoyston, often you can call the police and if they don't have the permit, they usually get chased away.

We have been told by our HOA that unless you are in a gated community, you cannot stop people soliciting. BUT, once you have told them no, if they don't leave your property they are then trespassing and you can call the police. In other words, fat chance of doing anything about it!! We have a sign and the dogs go berserk if they ring the bell and that's about the extent of it at our house.

I have CCTV and my door bell is actually a door intercom. When one ring my door bell I answer from my home phone and ask who it is. I pretty much dismiss anyone that have no business before even opening the door.

This is a huge problem in Fulshear as well, they are getting to the point that they won't take no for an answer. It is truly aggravating.

Why are people even allowed to come to your door uninvited? Seems that should already be trespassing. In addition to stuffed brochures that may help to flag you are not home; I have had people tape advertisements to my door, steal running shoes, and even steal my no soliciting sign.
