First time to post, but hope to learn a little about the development.

Does anyone have any additional information on the partials of land adjoining Windsor Estates off of 1464. I read in a post from 2012 that this may be owned by a developer that has intentions of building apartments.

Thanks in advance.

Any updates on this? Will there be apartments?

I heard the prison land is bought out and will likely be expanded development on the Sugar Land side.

I think there's a good chance of apartments eventually on the still open section of land there fronting the Grand Parkway/99.

The prison in Sugar Land was closed a few years ago, and Sugar Land has it zoned for a business park I believe. The other prison in the area (Jester) is across the Grand Parkway and actually probably closer to Pecan Grove. Most of the surrounding prison land is for sale; the large chunk of land recently sold will become Johnson Development's Harvest Green.

I think Windsor Estates was recently affected by the FBISD rezoning, but it's to closer/better schools, including the new Madden Elementary being built in Aliana.

It's probably fine for those wanting new construction literally next to Sugar Land and don't mind that it's a very small neighborhood.

Yep, it is zoned to Madden Elementary, Garcia Middle, and Austin High. I actually graduated from Austin many years ago, happy about that.

Any feedback on a new school like Madden? What to expect in terms of ratings/rankings?
