Im new in houston, live near by fm 1960 and walters rd. Does any filipinos live around this area?

The area near veteran memorial from 1960 to the beltway has a pretty good asian population. But it is not specific to pacific islanders. There are few pinoy restaurants around there.

For new Filipinos coming to Houston looking for a Filipino bakery, it doesn't get better than House Of Bread 2 in Stafford.

Here is the link to their location in Google Maps.

I saw Godo's in the Med Ctr mentioned in this thread, and personally I find their place to be very dirty and the buffet is never taken care of. My mom occasionally buys catering from them, which is okay. Filipinana on Bissonnet is the best restaurant in town IMHO.

Default Filipino Stores and Restaurants

There are two grocery stores I have heard of that sell Filipino food: Manila-Manila on TX 6 between US 290 and I-10 & Filtex Company on US 59 and Bellaire Boulevard. There are two restaurants I know of too: the Godo's Bakery and Restaurant in Medical Center and Best of Filipiniana in SW Houston on Bisonnet.
