We'll move to houston next summer. My husband will work at texas medical center. We want to buy a house $250,000-$300,000. We have two kids. One is 7 years old. The other is 2 years old. We hope we can find a house in safe, good school area. I know traffic and flood are also big problems in Houston. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

For suburbs I would look at Kingwood, Sugar Land or Pearland. Bellaire is another possibility, but the houses are more expensive.
