I've always gone to the Cypresswood courthouse to get my registration sticker then today my cousin goes "You know you can do it at Kroger right?"

Then I look online and there's about 200 different grocery stores approved. Do I get my sticker then or will I have to wait for them to process it and it will be mailed to me? It's annoying anyway so I prefer just going and waiting so after my trouble I can walk out with my sticker.

I had no idea you could get it done at the grocery store of all places. But I'm thinking it's like renewing online or by mail, them having to send it in and you still waiting 2 weeks. I'd rather wait with my Kindle at Cypresswood. But if I can get it right then I'm going to Kroger

Been doing it there for YEARS! And they can still process it for 5 business days past the expiration date if you forget and don't get it before it expires.

There's nothing I've ever needed to do at a grocery store courtesy booth so I had no idea you could get it done there.

I've been doing that for years. You can also go to Randall's which is where I get it done now. The only time it gets annoying is when you have a few people in front of you in line doing a Western Union transaction. But even then it's quicker than going to the courthouse.

Why don't you people do it online? That's the easiest way.

Any grocery store will do it BUT you can't do it there if it expires. You wait too long (or its a year you need new plates) and then you are stuck waiting in line at the tax office.

For those who need to renew a registration at a tax office, there are tax office branches scattered throughout Harris County. Their lines are usually short; I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes.

You don't ever just like take a look around you when you are walking in the doors?

I do mine online too. It's so simple that way. They mail it to you and it arrives in decent time.
