Hello,
We found a house in Telfair and will be moving soon. Our son is 3.5 yrs old and we are looking for a good preschool for him. We would like a place that focuses on academics as he's bilingual and we want him to be ready for school. I hope you can recommend something nearby as I've found several online with mixed reviews. I would really appreciate your advice.

Thanks

Ok. What about Cambridge Montessori or river Bend Montessori?

I just saw your post. We are also looking in Telfair. How are you liking it? Are there lots of young families? My kids are also bilingual and have been raised abroad so I was told the Montessori schools could be a good choice coming from Europe. Did you find anything else?

I am posting this many months after the OP asked the question but our experience with KidsRKids in New Territory (right next to Telfair) was positive. KidsRKids doesn't have the high status factor but they are actually fairly good for academics. My children were far enough ahead that kindergarten was just a repeat of preschool for them. They both qualified for GT services in FBISD, if that means anything, and I credit the prep at KidsRKids.

We enrolled him in kids r kids of new territory. Both Telfair and new territory are very nice and full of young and well educated families. We toured Montessori, primrose and kids r kids. Loved kids r kids more than Montessori. So far we're happy with kids r kids (it has only been 2 months).
Feel free to pm me if you have any further questions.
Oh and there is actually a Montessori del bambini that will open in Telfair sometime.

Does Kid R Kids allow bringing your own food? I know Primrose location in Sugar Land won't.

They offer 2 meals and 2 snacks a day. But I think some kids bring their own food.

My kids loved the KRK in New Territory. Even their Pre-K daycare is nice. A lot of the other new day cares/preschools that popped up in the area are pure cash machines. That is all I hear from some of my neighbors that tried the new places then put their kids in KRK @ NT.

Hello, We just moved to NT. We are looking to transfer our 3 year old son to one of the preschools in the area. I was wondering, are you still pleased with kids'r'kids? We are also considering Cambridge Montessori school but we are not really familiar with the Montessori style. We want a nurturing, academically challenging and warm environment for our son.
