We,(myself, hubby and 3 kids, 15,11,and 10) are thinking of possibly relocating to the Houston area from the East. I want what everyone else wants...safe area, good schools, affordable housing...yada, yada. Both of us have jobs in which we would not need to drive for, I work from a home office, hubby w/ the airlines, so commuting into the city is not an issue. I like the look of "The Woodlands", however, I am not into the whole keeping up with the Jones's thing. I really like the Cinco Ranch area also. My question is, as far as High Schools go, are they terribly cliquey? I just don't want my 15 year old daughter to have a really miserable time fitting in. Any opinions on these areas, or any others you might suggest. Thanks!

IAH, but he will only be driving there and back once per week, so proximity to the airport is not that important to him.

I really enjoyed going to Klein when I grew up in the Champions/Klein area.

My son (16) goes to Klein high and does well, he has alot of friends and he is not real outgoing. I think your daughter owuld do fine in Klein if you chose this area.

I also have a job where I can live pretty much anywhere and I chose Kingwood. Great schools, medical clinic, shopping and beautiful area.

There are some great neighborhoods in north Spring (which is much less pretentious) with a close proximity to the Woodlands amenities in the really good Klein school district (which includes kids from all different types of backgrounds). I'm a personal fan of Windrose and Gleannloch Farms master-planned communities, but there are others. They are both not terribly far from IAH.
