Another Montrose restaurant announces closing - but it will be back - CultureMap Houston

I'm surprised no one has brought this up (and Taco Milagro gets mentioned!). Don't worry--it's only the Westheimer location. It's sad to see another classic Houston place disappear.

Yeah, I'm not going to miss this place. I had a friend who worked there and even he though the food was crappy. I brought my friend from SF to this place and it was extremely disappointing. Another place they could get rid of is Cyclone Anaya's waste of time and money.

Also the title says "Montrose restaurant" but the article says "River Oaks location"...just goes to show you how confuzzled people are about neighborhood boundaries. I'm pretty sure that intersection has Upper Kirby signs now. The mid-rise going into Cafe Adobe's place is even more of an indication of the neighborhood developing.

To be honest their roof top patio was the only good thing about that place. The food was not good. There are so many better places to go.

It was actually posted a few months ago about the closing, before it actually closed.

I enjoyed sitting out on the upper deck with a margarita plus chips and dip.
