Hello,
We still live in Orlando but would like to move to Houston, Texas.
My husband is a CPA with 7 years of experience. Could somebody recommend a great company to work for or a recruiter in this field ? He already applied for HP and Chevron online but nothing yet. Any suggestions ? Thank you so much and have a great day.

Well, being a CPA with experience, he should be able to work just about anywhere. I think the Chronicle every year does an article on the top 100 companies in Houston. Maybe google "houston chronicle top 100" or something and see if you can find the list. Then go down the list and visit each website individually and apply. There are many, many jobs on companies' individual websites that don't make it to monster or careerbuilder.

There are PLENTY of opportunities for a CPA with that much experience. I know many people graduating from college who don't have their CPA's yet (in the process) and are already hired into companies. Like Supermac34 said, look online. The Houston Chronicle is always a great source for finding jobs.

Good Luck

All the big oil companies, Continental Airlines, Hines, Lyondell, BMC, etc., there are a ton out there.

The market for CPAs has been very good in Houston for a few years now (I am one as well, so I keep up with the market ). I have a good friend who manages an accounting and finance recruiting firm here, you can PM me for his name. Believe me, the jobs are out there.
