I did, yes, twice. $20k'ish a year would not leave me the money for therapies, but thank you so much of thinking of an idea for him! (btw I have my doubts about Westview also)

I know a few people in the SB area who don't say great things about Westview. But more so about The Arbor School. People are hush hush but I've gotten the impression that Arbor is the worst. What I've heard about Westview is that it's not very academic. Something like arts, crafts, macrame and other cutesy stuff to be a expensive daycare and nothing else.

Parish is suppose to be really good but Westview is the biggest I think so that's why people say it first. T

But all are pretty inclusive as far as therapies so that's a good thing.

What about Western Academy?

I think you are correct that no one school will be able to meet all his needs and wise to save dollars for private therapy. I am a little confused about 'rotting in a public school' because most privates don't have a dyslexia program either, seems like his language arts experiences will completely depend on the specific teacher each year, public or private. I consider that the great teacher crapshoot. These kids' needs are so individualized, I don't really believe in effective group programs either.

I doubt that any private school will be able to meet his needs on the high math end. You might have a better chance of that in the public world, at least SBISD will test and let the kids work years ahead as they are able, (though that can create other issues).

Best of luck finding a spot, please post updates as you have them. My hope for you is that the reading continues to come together to the point you have one less major issue to work around, sounds like he could be on his way...
