Hello friends,

I am new to using Houston Metro system. I got a job downtown (Smith street) but live in Sugar Land.
Would using W Bellfort P&R be a good idea and how does it work? Do I pay for it separately or its included into the cost of bus ride? Does it get too busy or there is enough parking space for everyone in the morning? Any feedback and tips will be appreciated!

I don't use this specific P&R but it should be the same system and the P&R is great. You will want to get a Q card and load it with money instead of paying with cash, it's a prepaid card you can just swipe as you enter the bus.

There is no fee to park and I have not had any problems with parking at any locations, but then again, I often arrive before 6:30 AM.

I can't access the website right now but ridemetro.org and check out the schedules based on the route number and look for the zone map, it will tell you the fare for the bus rides.

Edit: if you have problems or questions, feel free to PM me.

I park here everyday. Parking is free and the good spots usually fills up pretty fast around 6:15am (except for Fridays). After 7:15am, expect to park closer to the exit/fence area. Everything else is exactly what CrankyG has written above.

Be sure to check with your employer if you haven't already. Many times they give a discount on bus fares. I know if I load my Q card at work, I get a 20% discount, or $24 on the card for only $20 in cash payment.
